AG Architects, PC received a Merit Award from the American Institute of Architects, New Hampshire Chapter, for the design of the Burning Bridge Sound Studio located in Boston.

AG Architects, PC established by Art, celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2009. The firm has been involved in numerous local projects, both for new construction and renovation, including municipal facilities (Somersworth City Hall), healthcare facilities (Dr. Ness Dental Office, Gastroenterology, New England Equine, Seacoast Cardiology), and educational facilities (Berwick Academy Commons and Science Center, and McIntosh College Library). AG Architects also provides planning services for site developments like the new Terrascape Park in Somersworth. Developing designs with concern for the environment is becoming more critical in these times of high energy costs, global warming and scarce resources.

Art Guadano, AIA of AG Architects, Dover, NH has recently received LEED AP BD+C accreditation. LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a voluntary rating system for creating “Green Buildings”. It was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, a national non-profit organization that promotes the design, construction and operation of buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. LEED certified projects must meet certain standards to demonstrate environmental performance beyond standard practices in construction. Art plans to bring this additional knowledge, skill and capability to clients interested in environmentally sensitive and quality design.
